Mental Health Law - Memphis

Join us for 6-hours of continuing education and lunch (included) for attorneys, mediators, social workers, licensed counselors, certified peer recovery specialists, and others.  The workshop includes one hour of ethics.  Topics will focus on veteran courts, special need trusts, mediation ethics, criteria for involuntary commitments, and more. Upon completion, participants will be able to do the following: 1. Explain what happens to a Special Needs Trust upon the death of the beneficiary2. List the criteria for involuntary commitments3. Define the ethics of "neutrality" in mediating conflicts4. List and discuss at least three local programs offered through the DHRA5. List three ways that IPS is superior to traditional vocational rehab6. Discuss why veterans have access to a specialized recovery court
